After spending most of the summer looking for a nice place to stay, I have just moved into a new flat. I know I’m going to enjoy (0) ___ here.

The flat is on the first (1) ___ of a 19th-century building and has two large, sunny rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a spacious hall.

Having recently been redecorated, the whole building smells (2) ___,

not like the rundown old apartment block I (3) ___ to live in. I hated the terrible dirty smell of that place.

Luckily, although the rent is almost twice as much as I was expecting, I can afford it. I got promoted at work last month and am now earning more (4) ___ before.

It’s worth the high rent for the fabulous location alone. To get to work in the morning, all I (5) ___ to do is cross the bridge over the river and I’m there.

One of the best things about the flat is the (6) ___ from the kitchen window because you can see the castle on the hill on the other side of the river.

I’ve never actually (7) ___ up there and now I feel I really must visit the castle some day soon.

The only slight problem with the location is that there is nowhere to park for free. If I wanted, I (8) ___ rent a space in the nearby parking garage but

it’s far too (9) ___, over £80 a month.

When I was still in my old flat, I drove virtually everywhere because the public (10) ___, an hourly bus, was so slow and unreliable.

Now I think I could easily do without a car, so I may just sell my car and buy a decent bike. I haven’t quite made up my (11) ___ about that, however; I’m not sure if it’s really a wise move.

Before I found this wonderful place, I never really (12) ___ I would ever find the perfect flat. It was something I’d always dreamed of and hoped for, and now, at last, my dream has come true.
