Boarders have just been nominated for Most Music magazine’s coveted award for best new band on the British scene and it looks as if they have every chance of winning it. The number of fans who appreciate Boarders’ unique (0) style has been increasing steadily

Having taught them, Barry had always known the boys were promising musicians. An experienced singer-songwriter himself, he encouraged them to work on their own compositions and gave them advice on (4) availablecharity eventeverythingfarformedhappyhas been promotinghot afternoonlocal eventsluckyquicklythatuntilwhenwhere from harmony to sound systems.

Barry also helped Boarders get gigs in the early days, putting in a word for them in the pubs and clubs (5) availablecharity eventeverythingfarformedhappyhas been promotinghot afternoonlocal eventsluckyquicklythatuntilwhenwhere he himself performed regularly.

Barry even lent the band his own bass guitar (6) availablecharity eventeverythingfarformedhappyhas been promotinghot afternoonlocal eventsluckyquicklythatuntilwhenwhere they could afford to buy one themselves.

It wasn’t long before Boarders were in demand at (7) availablecharity eventeverythingfarformedhappyhas been promotinghot afternoonlocal eventsluckyquicklythatuntilwhenwhere and getting rave reviews.

In all his years as a music journalist, he had never before been so impressed by a young band.

Barry, whose bass guitar was eventually returned to him safe and sound, is still one of their most enthusiastic fans.
